Jean René BAZAINE (1904 – 2001)

Jean Bazaine, was born on December 21, 1904 in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, and died on March 4, 2001 in Clamart, he is a French avant-garde painter.

Major figure of the new School of Paris and French avant-garde painting of the twentieth century, his painting is more non-figurative, an abstraction that tends towards color, the timeless and the purity. His lines, spots and surfaces testify to a certain spirituality and an endearing poetry.
