Anders ZORN (1860 – 1920)
Anders Leonard Zorn, was born in Mora, Sweden on 18 February 1860 and died in Stockholm on 22 August 1920, he is a Swedish painter, engraver, sculptor and photographer.
His originality is manifested in a work marked by life and atmosphere. He is known for his paintings related to the Swedish countryside, his portraits and his nudes as well as his representations of water. He is with Carl Larsson the most popular painter of Sweden.
A museum housing the Zorn Collection is dedicated to him in Mora, Sweden.
